The shape of our jacket follows our renowned West End pattern block. A typical cut that is recognized by its soft natural shoulder, bold chest drape, nipped waist and refined flared skirt. An elegant contemporary hour-glass shape is the result. The lower patch pockets are bold but understated. Moon, one of Great Britain’s last remaining vertical mills, combined wool renowned for its breathability with the freshness of linen to a unique blend.

The shape of our jacket follows our renowned West End pattern block. A typical cut that is recognized by its soft natural shoulder, bold chest drape and nipped waist. An elegant contemporary hour-glass shape is the result. This is strengthened by the refined flared skirt. For this jacket we spent a lot of work on the re-design of the lower patch pockets. Bold and exactly how the understated man likes it. The jacket is unlined which gives it the perfect breathability for spring and summer. Sometimes it’s a challenge to find the right garments to wear in semi-casual surroundings. This time it will not be difficult to choose!

Abraham Moon & Sons
For a mill that is so heavily dependent on wool it was the search for a cloth using that core product, renowned for its breathability, and combining it with a fibre known for coolness and freshness. A unique blend was born. Because linen is prone to creasing, the blend (280gr) with wool gives a better performance although the nature of garments will be less formal and more casual in styling. Ideal for understated. Abraham Moon founded the company in 1837 in Guiseley, West Yorkshire. Ever since its establishment, bales of raw wool have been arriving at the mill’s doorstep to begin the process of creating beautiful fabrics. Moon is now one of Great Britain’s last remaining vertical mills, meaning that the entire process is being completed on one site: Raw wool is delivered to the site in Guiseley. The Merino lamb wool is predominantly from South Africa and the Shetland quality Pure New Wool is from New Zealand. Quality starts on the farm; sheep reared on a different diet can affect the quality so the wool is bought from proven sources. Dying The raw wool is then dyed using precise combinations of dye, pressure, temperature and time. These combinations are kept a close secret to ensure a unique colour palette. Blending The secret to creating beautifully rich colour is in the blend. Up to 7 different coloured wools can go into the recipe for each yarn to create the finished colour. Having yarns made up of many different component shades gives us a great advantage when it comes to the final look of the fabrics.
